Historical Aspect

Throughout the history of America, black individuals have been victims of  racist act. Such as slavery, lynching, racist beatings, and segregation under the Jim Crow law.  In which some continue to happen today. As the author of the novel Between the World and Me,  Ta-Neshisi Coates mentions  “Never forget that we were enslaved in this country longer than we have been free”.(70)
